Heavy Duty Truck and Trailer Mechanics
We are currently seeking experienced Heavy Duty Truck and Trailer Mechanics to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a passion for trucks and trailers, and a solid background in servicing and maintaining heavy-duty vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Perform inspections and provide accurate assessments of vehicle conditions.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Keep accurate records of repairs, parts used, and services provided.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Heavy Duty Truck and Trailer Mechanic.
- Strong knowledge of semi truck manufacturers such as Freightliner, Volvo, and Peterbilt.
- Familiarity with reefer units and trailers is highly desirable.
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Warehouse Workers
The Role:
- Full time. Flexible to work longer hours if needed
- Some heavy lifting – handbombing
- Driving forklift / loading/offloading trucks and cross-dock movement of freight
- Monitoring of freight incoming and outgoing
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Certified and experienced forklift operator
- Experience with LTL / cross-dock an asset
- Shunting trailers
JOB DUTIES:
- load and unload trucks
- move and stack materials; rotating floor stock
- general housekeeping duties
- forklift operating guidelines and procedures
- receive / process shipments
- perform proper forklift inspections, minor service and repairs as necessary

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, overhaul and repair of various components of a variety of heavy duty trucks equipped with diesel engines and automatic or manual transmissions.
- Requisition parts, materials and equipment as needed
- Complete detailed, clear and concise work orders
- Assist Shop Manager and other technicians in checking and diagnosing mechanical faults of trucks
- Maintain order, cleanliness, work output and safe working conditions in own work area

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate conduct consistent with Gpex vision and values.
- Communicate/distribute all pertinent Human Resources information to location employees.
- Assist with maintenance of record keeping including safety, workers compensation, etc.
- Maintain strict confidentiality with regard to Human Resources and payroll issues.
- Assist sales/estimating staff in the preparation of sales bids and project quotations.
- Assist with sales follow up and reporting.
- Arrange trucking with approved freight companies and schedule deliveries.
- Develop exceptional working relationships with customers and vendors.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Able to coordinate multiple tasks and work under deadline pressure.
